我在书里看到的这句话
As a general rule of thumb, companies can look at the functionality of a particular device when
determining appropriate levels of confidence and reliability at different risk levels. For instance, Walfish
said, a confidence level of 95 percent and a reliability level of 90 percent would be appropriate for a
low-risk device, such as a radiation shield for an X-ray machine. Such a device would need to be validated for its ability to shield an operator from extraneous radiation. This assumes that the failure mode
and effects analysis (FMEA) and the product risk file do, in fact, identify the shield as a low-risk feature,
Walfish emphasized.
If a product can be categorized as higher risk, those figures must change. In fact, devicemakers
must be diligent in assuring that they have applied the correct risk category to any such product. For
instance, for a medium-risk product, both the confidence and reliability figures would need to be at 95
percent, he suggested. Meanwhile, for a high-risk product, those figures would need to be 95 percent
and 99 percent, respectively |
